September/October 2013
Dear Friends of Grace,
We are excited to give a quick highlight concerning the past couple of months. The Lord continues to lead and bless beyond our deserving and beyond our imaginations. Truly He is Worthy of all Glory, Honour, and Power.
Tammie, Timon and I were able to go to Montana for Timon’s birthday. This is something we had been planning and praying about for almost a year. We wanted to take Timon to Yellowstone National Park and just see some of Montana. It was a wonderful trip that we all enjoyed and we will never forget. Montana truly has some ‘Big Sky’. It was beautiful.
Some of the men from the church were able to attend a Prayer Advance in Creedmoor, NC, where Dr. Billy Martin was preaching. Pastor Greg Allison hosted the meeting this year. We hosted it last year. I think I was told about 100 pastors and full-time church workers were in attendance. Great food and fellowship, not to mention the Lord encouraged our hearts.
September 29th was our Homecoming and start of Revival services. We had been having special prayer for about 16 weeks prior to our two week meeting. Dr. Bruce Miller, President of Atlantic Coast Baptist College in Laurel, Delaware, was our Preacher. He preached about fifteen messages, including our Bus Kids Homecoming service on October 5th. Our meeting was well attended by our church folks in spite of a lot of sickness at that time. There was a noticeable effort from the church family in inviting visitors to the services. We praise the Lord for those who put their heart into this meeting. The Lord dealt with us each and every service. Counting the bus kids, about 21 people asked the Lord to save them. We are still praying for them. To be honest, we have not seen much fruit in their lives, but nevertheless, we are asking God to continue that work He started.
GBC is still witnessing, distributing John/Romans and tracts, visiting the sick and shut-ins, working our bus routes, ministering through our RU program for those with addictions, preaching in the jail, and trying to make a difference for God in our community. Pray with us as we continue to reach out with the Gospel to ‘Whosoever Will’.
There is a good spirit in our church, folks are praying and closer than ever, for which we are thankful. Truly we saw Revival in families and individual hearts. God is Good!
We love you and are praying for you. Please continue to pray for GBC. That old devil is still walking around seeking whom he may devour. We are fighting him (just like you are) every step of the way it seems. Amen! Praise God the devil is against us, we must be doing something right! What a blessed thought that Jesus is coming soon. Until then, let’s keep the Faith.
Sincerely,
Pastor Wes Bailey
